May 29, 2017
Good afternoon to you on this wet Monday, which is May 29th. and nine days after we celebrated our 50th. Anniversary. We hope this Blog finds you all well healthwise and active with everything else in your life. In keeping with our quiet traditional way and my theory of "if it's not broken, don't fix it or mess with it" was our anniversary. However Judy & I take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to all our friends who sent cards, letters, poems, phone messages, on Facebook-Messages, Messenger-Messages, and Twitter-Messages and yes, even hand delivered Messages. All very kind and all greatly appreciated.

You might ask what we've been up to since Square Dancing ended for the season? Some of our time has been spent at Lake Dore, since the ground is drying up and the water level has receded a little. Some has been spent playing 12 Games of golf, once the courses have started to dry out, Judy has been knitting or baking, whilst I work away at my sketching, when not cutting grass. I guess I could say nothing much changes in our life style or there's not much to discover on the Discovery channel after fifty years.

That's about all I have to write for now. Here are a few of my recent sketches you can have a chuckle over, and No! I am not planning to go sailing, EVER.
Take care of yourself and each other and I'll see you when I am older. Thanks again for all the Cards & Letters.

Wow! How wet can it get? Rain, rain and more rain, too wet to play golf, too wet to hit golf balls, too wet to cut grass, too wet for BBQing. Good day to stay inside and look out the window at all the puddles, saturated lawns, flowing ditches, and when that becomes boring in 20 seconds, pick up a pencil and paper and sketch yourself a picture.

I just went for a little drive along by the mighty Ottawa and I can tell you, that's the highest I've ever seen it, almost up to the soccer fields at the bottom of Larch, and over the road at Trim Road going to Petrie Island, and I think Petrie Island is completely under water.

There is not much we can do but wait for the rain to stop and the flood to subside and the sun returns along with a breeze to help dry things out. We hope you are high and dry with no flooding issues. Take care of yourself and each other and I'll see you when I'm older.

Good day to stay indoors if you can, not a day to play golf if you are in this area. The forecast is rain all the day and into tomorrow, it is cool at 6C but might sore to 10 C later in the day. Seeing as I can't work outside or play golf I guess I'll get out my pencils and sketch or draw or whatever they call what I do, or I could go to Golf Town and dream, or I could dream and then go to Golf Town.

It's easy to see I have very little to do on a rainy day, take care of yourself and each other and I'll see you when I'm older.
